Hello women! Time to give the best gift; you can, to your body

Household chores, office, children, grocery…and the list goes on and on for every woman. Due to the stress of juggling between so many tasks, many women face a lot of problems associated with their health. This happens due to lack of physical workout, proper diet and sleep. Therefore, we are sharing six most essential fitness tips that you can adapt and bring a change in your life:

Stay active:

It sounds easy, but it needs effort from your side. Sitting is the new smoking. So, try to get up and walk whenever you can. Every step counts towards your fitness. Climb at least 3 floors every-day, carry your own shopping bags, park your car far away from the mall entrance, take a walk after the dinner, etc. The key to staying active is to walk, walk and walk.

Store healthy snacks:

This one is beneficial not only for you but for your entire family. When you go out to get groceries, focus on buying healthy snacks like nuts, carrots, roasted chana, makhana, fruits, etc. Stock up these food items at home so that when you feel hungry, you can just grab some of these and munch.

Never miss your breakfast:

Mornings are always a rush time. Everybody is in a hurry to either to catch a school bus or reach office on time. In this rush, many times, women compromise on their breakfast. This only makes them feel tired and lethargic. When you skip breakfast, you tend to overeat by the end of the day and put on weight. Therefore, eating a healthy breakfast should be your priority just like the rest of the family. Include whole foods, fruits, eggs and dairy every day in breakfast.

Workout:

We all know how important exercise is for our health. Still, we tend to ignore or make excuses. Exercise should not be considered as a task but it should be a part of your lifestyle. A workout is the best gift you can give to your body. Choose any form of workout and do it on a regular basis. Join dance, yoga, gym, swimming, cycling or Zumba. Do what you enjoy the most and maintain regularity.

Eat small, regular meals:

Eating small meals at every 2 -3 hours keeps you active, energized and less hungry. When you eat 3 large meals and eat each meal after a gap of 5-6 hours, it makes you very hungry and crave for food. Due to increased hunger, you tend to eat more than required and as a result, you put on excess weight. It also makes you feel lethargic and dull after a heavy meal. So, plan your meals in advance and eat small portions on regular intervals.

Reduce stress:

We all are stressed due to some or the other reason. What matters is how we handle our stress. Stress can be harmful for your health therefore, you should actively take part in activities which help in reducing stress like meditation, reading a book, listening to music, meeting friends or watching your favorite show. The key is to giving time to yourself to relax and calm down your brain.

All these tips may sound familiar to you. But how many of these tips have you adopted in your life? Women tend to ignore their own health for the sake of their family. But that doesn’t help. How can an unhealthy woman raise a happy family? So, sit back, relax and make some important changes in your life!
